Local Unit Renovation Contest

This is a can’t-miss opportunity—by bringing first-time attendees to Leader U, you can win $500 for future local unit activities! Local units will be placed into four categories based on membership size (one category is solely for college and university local units). The local unit in each category that brings the highest percentage of first-time attendees to Leader U will win!

Four $500 prizes will be awarded. In case of a tie, more than one prize will be given. In order to qualify, a first-time attendee must be listed on a 2008-09 officer or campus representative list that is filed with the state office by July 8.

First-time attendees must pick up their registration packets from the Leader U registration booth by 8 a.m. Friday, July 11. Packets may not be picked up by other members.

Tips for renovating your local unit:

1. Get commitments now from members who are willing to be volunteers next year.
2. Keep in mind that it’s OK to have more than one volunteer on a campus.
3. Plan your finances, and take advantage of the financial assistance available to local units.
