The ATPE Lookbook: Meet the Largest Community of Educators in Texas

The ATPE Lookbook offers a comprehensive look at ATPE’s programs and benefits, as well as a snapshot of the educators, volunteers, and leaders who form the heart of public education in Texas. This publication includes information about: 

ATPE’s networking and professional growth opportunities 

  • The ATPE Professional Learning Portal—Offers members access to a wide range of high-quality, on-demand courses that help educators earn continuing professional education (CPE) credit.  
  • The ATPE Online Community—Offers a vital space for Texas educators to share resources, exchange ideas, and network with peers across the state to build lasting relationships that enhance their professional lives. 
  • Leadership ATPE—A dynamic one-year program designed to equip emerging public education leaders with the skills, knowledge, and best practices needed to serve ATPE, their school districts, and their communities. 
  • ATPE Summit—Members gather at ATPE’s annual conference for the association’s yearly business meeting, professional learning and volunteer training opportunities, and networking. 

ATPE Governmental Relations and public education advocacy 

  • The ATPE Legislative Program—This document guides the ATPE Governmental Relations team’s work with state- and federal-level decision-makers and lawmakers who govern public education law and policy. 
  • Advocacy Central—Members can get in touch with elected officials.  
  • Teach the Vote—ATPE’s TeachtheVote.org features state candidate and lawmaker profiles, voting records on education-related measures, and frequent updates on the latest public education news. 
  • ATPE Member Advocate Program (ATPE-MAP)—Allows ATPE members to earn a microcredential in either local or state-level advocacy and earn CPE credits for certification renewal. Those who complete the state-level advocacy pathway are eligible to apply to join ATPE lobbyists on targeted visits to the Capitol during the legislative session. 
  • ATPE Political Action Committee (ATPE-PAC)*—Empowers ATPE members, staff, and their families to pool their financial resources in support of pro-public education candidates.

  • Legal resources**—In addition to the Educators Professional Liability Insurance Policy, our Member Legal Services Department provides a safety net for educators, offering valuable legal resources and guidance for navigating issues that arise in the course of professional duties.
