Meet Judy, Your AI Assistant

Judy is ATPE’s new AI assistant, ready to help you with all things ATPE and all things #txed.

Ask Judy:

  • How to make the most of your ATPE member benefits
  • About ATPE’s legislative positions
  • For general information about Texas public schools
  • And more!
Check back often as Judy learns more!

Please Note:

  • Judy is an AI-powered Large Language Model (LLM). She is trained on ATPE content and other Texas public education knowledge, but she is still learning, and she’s not a human. Like any LLM, Judy may produce outputs that are inaccurate or incomplete from time to time.
  • Content generated by ATPE’s Judy AI Assistant should be used for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional advice. Individual legal situations vary greatly, and users needing individual legal advice should consult directly with an attorney. Eligible ATPE members may contact the ATPE Member Legal Services Department.
  • Users are responsible for verifying the information provided by Judy before taking action on it.
  • ATPE is not liable for any decisions or actions taken by you or others based on the outputs of Judy.

By using Judy, you acknowledge that you understand these limitations and that you agree to ATPE’s Judy Terms and Conditions.

Tips for Using Judy:

To receive the most useful answers from Judy, you’ll want to carefully craft your questions or prompts:

  • Be specific in the questions you ask Judy to receive the most relevant results.
  • Add additional context to help Judy give you a more detailed answer. A little background will help Judy understand your situation better!
  • Ask for the type of results you seek. For example, if you want help writing to your lawmaker, ask Judy to help you write a message. If you simply need information, ask her for the latest news.
  • Ask one question at a time. This will help Judy provide the most focused and detailed answer to each of your questions.
  • Ask follow-up questions. Judy will gain context and provide additional information based in part on your prior questions. The more we chat with Judy, the “smarter” she will become.
  • Check out linked resources. Judy will suggest webpages or other resources that may be related to your inquiry. Click on the “Learn More” button to see these links.
  • Provide feedback! You have the opportunity to give Judy’s answers a thumbs-up or a thumbs-down and, if necessary, explain how she could have been more helpful. ATPE will use this information to keep training Judy and making her a more valuable tool for our members.
  • Don't include personally identifiable or confidential information in your submission to Judy, including personally identifiable or confidential information relating to yourself, a supervisor, a colleague, or a student. Judy’s responses are not intended to be legal advice or legal representation, and your interactions with Judy are not protected by the attorney-client privilege.
