The ATPE Professional Learning Portal offers access to over 130 courses offering continuing professional education (CPE) credit.

Texas teachers with a standard teaching certificate must renew that certificate every five years, and have completed 150 hours of CPE, while administrative/student services certificate holders must complete 200 hours.

ATPE’s learning portal (powered by WCEA) is a learning management system that provides a variety of online courses and webinars. ATPE is registered with both the State Board for Educator Certification and the Texas Education Agency as an approved provider of CPE, so you can earn CPE all online and on your own schedule.

You can also use the portal to track the CPE hours you’ve earned, which makes them easy to find when it’s time to renew your certificate.

Guests can have access to eight courses, but only ATPE members gain access to the full course catalogue.

To access the Professional Learning Portal, you must be logged into your ATPE account. From the atpe.org homepage, click the Professional Development link under the “In The Classroom” tab. The learning portal will display your in-progress courses, and there will be a tab to search other courses that are available. The Education Tracker shows how much you have completed through ATPE, and there is also an option to add external education. You may also add any live event that qualifies for CPE credit.

If you have any questions, please contact ATPE’s Volunteer Program Coordinator, Anna Belle Burleson at 800.777.2873 or aburleson@atpe.org.

Important note: Do not change your username or password on the learning portal as they are pre-populated based on your ATPE web account.

If you are interested in offering a professional development course on our portal, please email prof_dev@atpe.org or aburleson@atpe.org to get started.
