Session Two of the ATPE Book Circle Begins July 13!
Date Posted: 6/24/2015
Join ATPE’s online professional learning community and take part in the ATPE Book Circle. It's a great way to earn continuing professional education hours, network with fellow Texas educators, and enjoy a book that could take your teaching to the next level.
It's easy to join! Start by registering. You'll become a part of the ATPE Idea Exchange. Look for the ATPE Book Circle forum section. Finally, post under "Sign Up Here!" for the book How Children Succeed by Paul Tough.
Here's a sneak peek into Paul's book: The story we usually tell about childhood and success is the one about intelligence: success comes to those who score highest on tests. But Paul Tough argues that the qualities that matter most have more to do with character: skills like perseverance, curiosity, conscientiousness, optimism, and self-control.
