Voter Registration Deadline Is February 3

Now that 2020 is officially here, so is election season. The Texas primaries take place on Super Tuesday, March 3. If you are not already registered to vote, the deadline to register is February 3. You can find more information about how to get registered on the Texas Secretary of State website. Be sure to head to the polls and stand up for public education on Election Day!
As the election approaches, ATPE is working hard to ensure members and other voters have access to the election resources they need. Visit our Teach the Vote website to view profiles of all candidates running for the Texas Legislature or State Board of Education this year. Also, be sure to check the Teach the Vote blog for the latest campaign updates. Information on Teach the Vote is designed in a nonpartisan manner to help voters learn about the candidates’ views on public education. In the coming weeks, we’ll be adding more content to the candidate profiles, including their responses to ATPE’s Candidate Survey as we receive them.
