This is a confusing and stressful time for educators. It seems like every day we hear new information about back-to-school plans from local and state officials. Educators have a lot of questions, and officials have given few concrete answers. That’s why the ATPE Member Legal Services Department is hosting a webinar to answer educators' most common questions. In these uncertain times, it is important to know your rights.

Join us at 4:30 p.m. CDT Thursday, July 30, for a town hall-style webinar in which an ATPE attorney will answer some of the most common questions educators have about the 2020-21 school year in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as share the latest information available in this fast-changing environment. What happens if you get sick or you’re exposed to someone who tests positive for COVID-19? What options do you have if you’re concerned about your health or that of a family member? Who makes the rules about all of this anyway?

This webinar is open to all Texas educators. Upon registration, you will receive a link where you may submit your questions anonymously. Before the webinar, be sure to check the COVID-19 FAQ and Resource Page for the latest updates to pressing questions and links to the most up-to-date news regarding how COVID-19 is affecting school opening plans.
