Anyone who is an avid reader has vivid memories of the first time they experienced the magic of reading a good book! And who among us doesn’t remember the delight of expanding your reading selection with a visit to the school library?

Texas educators have the opportunity to apply for $500 “book scholarships” from the Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution (TXDAR). Applications are open now through May 24. TXDAR is awarding up to $15,000 in book scholarships in $500 increments. Awarded funds can be used to supplement school libraries, start or add to classroom libraries, or provide books to students to help create a lifelong love of reading.
