A Message from ATPE Regarding Email Spoofing
Date Posted: 6/16/2022
ATPE is aware of recent emails in which the sender is posing as an ATPE member. In light of this, we urge our members to take the appropriate precautions to safeguard their personal information.
If you suspect an email is spoofed, do not click on any links or attachments. Typically, these emails are fairly obviously spam or phishing attempts, but if you are in doubt, please reach out to the member via another means (e.g., phone or a different email address) to confirm whether a message is legitimate. If it’s a scam, report and block the sender, and if you suspect your information is at risk of being compromised, update your email password.
