Embark on new ATPE adventures by attending the 2023 ATPE Summit this July 10–12 at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Round Rock! This is a summertime safari like no other.
Per the ATPE State Bylaws, only local unit or region presidents are eligible to register and certify delegates for the summit. Please contact your local unit president to attend. If your school district doesn’t have an active ATPE local unit, please contact your region president if you are interested in attending. The delegate certification deadline is June 9. You Don’t Want to Miss the 2023 ATPE Summit
- Earn up to seven hours of continuing professional education (CPE) credit: The opening keynote is “180 Days of Awesome” with Monica Genta, and her goal is to transform teachers, leaders, and schools from seeing education as an ordinary job into an extraordinary adventure. The closing keynote is “Remember Who You Are” with Jim “The Rookie” Morris. Morris’ story inspiring story was released in cinematic form with The Rookie starring Dennis Quaid. His story also serves as testimony to the power of dreams and their ability to inspire and transform human life. (Morris’ appearance is arranged through Gotham Artists.)
- Use your voice in the House of Delegates: Delegates will elect the 2023-24 state officers and shape ATPE’s legislative priorities for the coming year.
- Enhance your volunteer leadership skills: Enjoy sessions on future planning for local units, advocating at the school board level, local unit and region public relations, and more.
- Dance under the stars: During our evening welcome reception, we’ll enjoy the high-energy, high-hilarity sounds of The Spazmatics, an 80s tribute band. Plus, you’ll have lots of time to explore the Kalahari in an evening-on-your-own adventure!
- Local unit and region presidents should have received your registration link via email directly from the registration system. If you did not receive this email, please contact summit@atpe.org.
- The registration fee is $225. The fee includes access to all general sessions, professional learning breakouts, volunteer training sessions, and the House of Delegates. There is no fee for an HOD-only registration. The Under the Stars Welcome Reception is a separate ticketed event ($60 per ticket).
- Reserve your room at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions by June 9 through the housing link at atpesummit.org/housingreservations. Please do not contact the hotel directly. The room rate is $240 plus tax per night (for up to four people) and is inclusive of a $10 resort fee.
