Hurry—Register for ATPE at the Capitol by Feb. 10

ATPE at the Capitol will take place Feb. 20–21, and the deadline to register is fast approaching! Registration is free, but you must sign up by Feb. 10. Join your fellow ATPE members as they meet with legislators in person and speak up for your profession and students.

ATPE at the Capitol will kick off the evening of Monday, Feb. 20, when attendees will learn about ATPE’s legislative priorities and hear from a panel of lawmakers on the education issues at the forefront of the legislative session. Invited panelists are Sen. José Menéndez (D–San Antonio), Sen. Angela Paxton (R–McKinney), Rep. James Talarico (D–Round Rock), and Rep. Ken King (R–Canadian).

Tuesday, Feb. 21, begins with a final session on communicating with lawmakers that will include a full breakfast buffet. Then attendees will travel to the Capitol to visit their lawmakers, watch the House and Senate in action, and show their support for public education.

Lawmakers will debate and vote on many bills during this legislative session that will help shape the future of public education in Texas. It is vital they hear from the true experts: educators like you!
