Join Advocates for Children’s Mental Health at Claritycon2023
Date Posted: 5/11/2023
Ready for a summer of fun and learning? You’re invited to pack your bags and hike over to Claritycon2023, a summit for advocates of children’s mental health! The conference will be held July 20–21 at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one in five kids has an emotional, behavioral, or mental illness. Two of the main barriers to treatment for emotional, behavioral, and mental illness are stigma and access to care. By attending Claritycon, you can help ensure the children in your care get the best support and resources available.
Attendees can earn up to 12 hours of professional development from 30-plus renowned mental health experts. Your ticket also gives you access to exhibitors and admission to Friday’s celebratory luncheon with keynote speaker David Ambroz, the head of external affairs and community engagement at Amazon. Ambroz will share his personal story of resilience as he navigated a parent with mental illness, homelessness, and the foster care system.
Since 2013, Claritycon has grown to reach over 500 attendees including educators, therapists, physicians, social workers, and mental health professionals. Presentations will explore the numerous internal and external factors that impact the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of young people. Topics include but are not limited to:
