Grocery store chain H-E-B—through its Our Texas, Our Future commitment to preserve Texas’ natural resources—has produced a five-part original documentary film series celebrating Texas’ beautiful state parks, resilient wildlife, and the Texans helping conserve and protect them.

H-E-B teamed up with award-winning filmmakers to bring attention to the important work being done to protect delicate wildlife habitats and threatened animal species across the state. For this project, H-E-B worked with Austin-based Fin and Fur Films, led by director and founder Ben Masters. The series is narrated by Shane Smith, and his Ausin-based band Shane Smith & The Saints created an original soundtrack for the films, which each focus on a different region of Texas and a unique group of animals and their habitats.

A Century Celebration: Texas State Parks encourages all Texans to get out and enjoy the diverse and stunning parks of the great Lone Star State. When Texans support Texas State Parks, they help keep the natural beauty of Texas thriving for years to come.

Batsies follows passionate Texas State University female wildlife biologists as they work against the clock to find a way to save bats, all while breaking barriers of their own. Their goal is to research new ways to protect Texas’ delicate bat population and help educate the next generation of Texan conservationists.

Redfish Revival showcases the fascinating history and remarkable recovery of Texas’s Redfish. A popular sport fish on the Texas Gulf Coast, wild redfish were on the decline due to overfishing in the 1970s.

Second Chance follows conservationists, researchers, and West Texas ranchers as they study, observe, and celebrate the incredible comeback of black bears in Big Bend National Park.

Ranching with Ocelots describes how the ocelots’ delicate future depends on Texan ranchers who are actively conserving the land needed for both ocelot habitation and cattle ranching.
