Did you know that in December, Gov. Greg Abbott received what his campaign calls the single largest campaign donation in Texas history?

Did you know it was a $6 million donation from a Pennsylvania billionaire whose No. 1 issue is implementing private school vouchers?

The dollars are pouring in from the anti-public schools crowd, who know that public educators like you whose raises are being held hostage by politics will never be able to match them dollar for dollar.

Are you mad?

Good.

But don't be demoralized. When you do the math, it becomes clear: Our side might have less funding for campaign signs and advertising, but if the entire public education community shows up to vote in the primaries, that will make the difference.

If we all show up at the polls and vote pro-public education, we can protect public school students and educators. Voting pro-public education means voting in the primary election that will determine who represents your district in the Texas Legislature, voting for the candidate who will best support public schools, and telling your friends and family to do the same.

We're fed up. It's time for us to show up.
