<p>February 19, 2015</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><em>ATPE to host 2015 Lobby Day</em></p> <p>State District Judge John Dietz, who recently ruled that Texas’ system of funding public schools is unconstitutional, will address hundreds of educators Sunday, February 22, during the Association of Texas Professional Educator’s (ATPE) political involvement training. More than 400 educators from across the state will gather at the Hyatt Regency Austin (Texas Ballroom) for the two-day event that includes ATPE’s Lobby Day, Monday, Feb. 23 at that State Capitol.</p> <p>“We are excited to have such influential speakers this year,” ATPE Executive Director Gary Godsey said. “Attending Lobby Day is a great way for Texas educators to learn more about public education’s new leadership and funding challenges.
