<p>August 19, 2016</p> <p>Gary Schepf, Irving ISD’s coordinator of career and technical education, was recently honored with the Administrator of the Year Award from the Association of Professional Educators (ATPE).</p> <p>“Having been a classroom teacher for 34 years, I can relate to each of my teachers,” Schepf said. “I show them my support by talking with them, providing them with links to innovative concepts that can enhance their classroom instruction, and work with them to enrich their classroom curriculum.”</p> <p>Shepf was presented with a plaque, and a $5,000 check at the 2016 ATPE Summit Awards Banquet held at the Austin Convention Center.</p> <p>“We are proud and excited to be able to recognize outstanding educators who have shown their commitment to furthering public education,” ATPE Executive Director Gary Godsey said.</p> <p>Nearly 1,000 educators from across the state celebrated the achievements of public school employees at the banquet. Gary Schepf, Irving ISD’s coordinator of career and technical education, was recently honored with the Administrator of the Year Award from the Association of Professional Educators (ATPE).
