2026-27 ATPE Membership Payroll Deduction Application

Join ATPE online using this form to pay your membership dues via payroll deduction according to your school district’s payroll deduction schedule. 

The First-Time Professional rate is not available after Oct. 31, 2026. 2026-27 Professional, Associate, and Administrator memberships will not be accepted after Jan. 31, 2027. (ISD payroll offices may stop accepting payroll authorizations before Jan. 31, 2027.)

You must join in the appropriate insured category in order to qualify for the Educators Professional Liability Insurance Policy. ATPE reserves the right to determine eligibility for the appropriate membership category. Commissioned peace officers are eligible for public membership only. The Professional, First-Time Professional, Associate, and Administrator membership categories are open to persons employed in Texas by a public school district, institution of higher education, Regional Education Service Center, or the Texas Education Agency. The ATPE Political Action Committee (ATPE-PAC) solicits donations from ATPE members, employees, and their families only.

Payment

Payroll Authorization

Your membership dues deductions will follow your ISD's payroll schedule. For questions concerning your ISD's payroll schedule, please contact your district's payroll office.

Once you complete this application, a PDF version will be emailed to you, and a copy will also be emailed to the ATPE State Office. Once received at the ATPE State Office, we will ensure that your ISD payroll office is notified of your ATPE membership as well as your desire to pay the membership dues via payroll deduction. You will receive a Welcome email from ATPE after your application is processed. Please allow up to five business days for processing. If you do not receive a Welcome email within six business days, please contact members@atpe.org.

The ATPE membership year begins 8/1/26 & ends 7/31/27. Certain benefits may take effect earlier or later than 8/1/26. Visit atpe.org for disclosure details/limitations. I understand that ATPE may contact me via information provided on this application, including email and text, to communicate about my benefits/account. ATPE dues are not deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes but may be deductible as misc. itemized deductions, subject to IRS restrictions. Approx. 94% of your dues dollar is considered deductible; 5.7% is used for lobbying activities and is therefore not deductible.
